Calling an ambulance is covered in the event of an immediate threat to life (collapse, epileptic seizure, accident, childbirth).

For how long can I take out Insurance of Necessary and Urgent Care of Foreign Nationals? 

This insurance is taken out for a fixed period of up to one year. Insurance with a duration of up to 90 days serves primarily to meet the legal condition for foreigners to stay for up to 90 days. Insurance with a duration of over 90 days can serve as travel insurance for foreigners and therefore does not replace the Comprehensive Health Insurance for Foreigners product.

I have concluded an online insurance contract which I have received at my email. What now?

Print out the insurance contract and submit it to the relevant authority. Keep one copy of the contract and the General Insurance Conditions for your own needs.

What should I do in the event of an insurance claim?

In the event of an insurance claim (if objectively possible), first of all contact the assistance company at +421 232 114 081 and follow their instructions.

Will the insurer refund my unused premiums in the event of early termination of the insurance?

In most typical life situations, yes (e.g. termination of the insurance contract within the statutory two-month period after the conclusion of the insurance contract, failure to grant a stay for reasons beyond the client's control). However, in some situations (e.g. non-admission for reasons beyond the client's control), the amount refunded is reduced by a so-called cancellation fee, which is used to cover the insurer's costs associated with the creation and administration of the insurance. 

I need a proof of payment of the insurance premium. Where can I find it?

The receipt is part of the insurance contract and can be found in the bottom part of the insurance contract.

What does repatriation mean?

Repatriation is a transfer of an ill insured person or his remains to the state the travel documents of which he owns or where he is permitted to stay.
